What is the DJ Network? The DJ Network is a disc jockey referral service - 3 companies that pool their resources to help you find what you are looking for easier and quicker than if you did it on your own.
How does it work? By simply clicking on one of our member's links or filling out our on-line form - we will check availability for over 30 professional pre-qualified disc jockeys.  Forget about calling around to multiple companies only to find out they don't return your calls or are already booked for your event date.  We make it easy to find the perfect entertainment for your event.

We'll even help you find a pre-qualified photographer or videographer as well.

What does it cost? The referral service is FREE.  Yes, I said FREE.  As we refer many different types of events and many different disc jockeys - the actual entertainment fees will vary depending on who is available for the date you are interested in and the types of services you need.  Nothing is passed on to you for using the DJ Network.
What can a disc jockey offer over a band? A professional disc jockey not only plays music at your event - they act as an event coordinator.  They will keep your event flowing and maintain the energy level of the event so that your guests will have a great time. With bands, there tends to be many down times during the event when they are on break.  Bands typically will not work as an event coordinator - they leave that to you.  Bands work off of play lists.  They only know so many songs.  With a professional disc jockey - the sky is the limit with regards to music.  Looking for a disco theme?  Maybe you're into the latest Top-40 hits?  Or maybe you want a good mix of everything?  A professional disc jockey can handle that much easier than any band.  With a band, your guests tend to watch them perform.  With a professional disc jockey, our goal is to get the guests involved without being intrusive or stealing the show from you.
Why do I see such a wide range of prices being charged for entertainment? As with any industry - prices are based on the quality of the service and experience level of the entertainer.  You don't expect to pay the same for a BMW as you do a Hyundai. Yes, they both will get you from Hartford to New Haven - but one will do it with more style.  The same can be said about disc jockey entertainment.  Have you ever been to a really great party?  What made the party so great?  Was it the food?  How about the photographer?  No - it was the entertainment. 

Choosing entertainment based on price alone will only guarantee that you get the cheapest disc jockey.  Your concern should be more in getting a quality entertainer that will make your event a success. The guaranteed success of your event is well worth the price difference between an average disc jockey and a great disc jockey.

Please note - The AVERAGE cost of a DJ in the Hartford, CT area is between $1000-$1200, so to get an ABOVE AVERAGE DJ, you should expect to pay MORE than $1200.

When should I start looking for disc jockey entertainment for my event? If you are planning a wedding - you should be looking for reception hall, church, photographer and your disc jockey at least 12 months before your wedding date.  The more popular the date - the earlier you should be planning for these key services.

If you are planning other types of events such as corporate events or bar/bat mitzvah's - you should be calling between 6 and 12 months in advance to guarantee you get the best available entertainer for your event.
